How do I earn Holiday Rewards points?
For every dollar spent in store when you use your Giant card, you'll receive 1 point. The total number of points you've earned will print on the bottom of your receipt, or you can check your total online.
Do I need to have a Giant card/key tag to participate in the Holiday Rewards Program?
Yes. If you do not have a Giant card/key tags, you can sign up for one online or in store when you shop.
How many points do I need to accumulate to earn a Holiday Rewards Coupon?
250 points will earn you a 5% off coupon; 450 points a 10% coupon; 600 points a 15% off coupon; and 800 points will earn you a 20% off coupon. You choose when to redeem your points to receive your Holiday Rewards Coupon good towards a future purchase.
How do I receive my Holiday Rewards Coupon?
When you have accumulated enough points to earn a Holiday Rewards Coupon, your cashier will ask you if you would like to redeem your points. If you say yes, your cashier will print the Holiday Rewards Coupon that you have earned. If you would like to continue to accumulate points your points in order to earn a Holiday Rewards Coupon of greater value, simply let the cashier know.
How long can I earn points?
You can earn points November 6-December 10, 2009.
How long do I have to redeem my points to claim my Holiday Rewards Coupon?
You can redeem your points for a Holiday Rewards Coupon through December 10, 2009.
When does my Holiday Rewards Coupon expire?
Holiday Rewards Coupons may be redeemed through December 25, 2009.
Is there any limit to the number of Holiday Rewards Coupons that I can earn?
No. There is no limit to the number of coupons you can earn. The more you shop, the more you'll save.
Will I be able to redeem my points for a Holiday Rewards Coupon after December 10 if I still have accumulated points?
No. All Holiday Rewards Coupon points expire on December 10, 2009.
Are there any items which do not qualify to earn points for a Holiday Rewards Coupon?
Yes. This offer excludes alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, gift cards, milk, lottery tickets, gasoline, pharmacy items, postage stamps, prepaid telephone calling cards, Western Union®, money orders and any other purchases prohibited by law. Discount applies to your NET purchases after discounts and coupons.
Do my pharmacy purchases earn points?
Yes. This offer includes "out-of-pocket" Giant pharmacy purchases, except Medicare/Medicaid or any government funded prescription programs.
Can I earn points towards a Holiday Rewards Coupon and redeem my coupon at any Giant?
Yes. Holiday Rewards Coupons can be earned and redeemed at any Giant location.
If I Shop on online at Peapod, will my purchases be eligible to earn points towards a Holiday Rewards Coupon?
No. Peapod by Giant purchases are not included in this program.
Can I use more than one Holiday Rewards Coupon at a time?
No. There is a limit of 1 coupon per customer per transaction.
Will I be able to redeem my points for a Holiday Rewards Coupon at a self-checkout register?
No. To receive your Holiday Rewards Coupon, you must go through a mainline register or claim it at the pay station.
If I have an old Giant card or key tags will I still be able to earn points towards a Holiday Rewards Coupon?
Yes. You will earn points with your old Giant card. If you would like to order an additional card or key tags, or if you would like to create a Giant online account, you may do so online. Just click here. You can also get a new or replacement card at the Customer Service Desk. Your replacement card will be linked to your existing card.
If more than one member of my household has a Giant card, will our purchases combine to earn points towards a Holiday Rewards Coupon?
Yes. Our card system automatically "links" cards into a "household" account when one or more cardholders have the same last name and street address. This means that the total "purchase history" of the household will count towards the Holiday Rewards Program.
I wanted to redeem my points and they were no longer there. How could this happen?
There are several reasons this could have happened. The first one is that your points could have expired. All points must be redeemed by December 10, 2009. The other reason could be that another member of your family already redeemed the points.
How could another family member redeem my points if they have a different card number?
As explained above, our card system automatically "links" cards into a "household" account when one or more cardholders have the same last name and street address. This means that any of those card owners can redeem available points.
What do I do if I do not want to have my family cards linked so we will each earn and redeem our own points?
Please call our Card Hotline at 1-877-366-2668 and we will be glad to unlink the cards so each person will have their own account for purposes of accruing and redeeming points.
What do I do if I want to keep my family's cards linked together so points can be accrued together?
That's fine. There's nothing you need to do. You might want to work out in advance who gets to redeem the points for the Holiday Rewards Coupon so there are no surprises when you want to redeem the points and another family member has already done so.Restrictions apply.
